Orange-Glazed Pork Chops
The orange marmalade and maple syrup create a nice final touch to this recipe for pork chops. This was a great dinner served with mashed potatoes and fresh salad.
Ingredients:
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
- 4 butterfly pork chops
- 1 tablespoon olive or vegetable oil
- 1 cup orange juice
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup
- 2 tablespoons orange marmalade (optional)
Preparation:
- Combine first three ingredients, and rub into both sides of pork chops.
- Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the pork chops, and brown on each side. Add the orange juice, cover, reduce heat, and simmer 8 to 10 minutes. Turn the pork chops over, cover and cook an additional 8 to 10 minutes.
- To serve, drizzle the syrup over the chops and, if desired, spread each thinly with orange marmalade.
- Makes 4 servings.
