Holiday Herb Baste for Turkey
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup butter, softened (1 stick)
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon poultry seasoning
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon rubbed sage
Preparation:
- Blend butter with remaining ingredients.
- Prepare turkey for roasting, as desired. Rub half the herb mixture under skin of turkey.
- Cook turkey according to your favorite method, basting with remainder of the herb mixture every half hour until done.
