Holiday Herb Baste for Turkey

  • 1/2 cup butter, softened (1 stick)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon poultry seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon rubbed sage
  1. Blend butter with remaining ingredients.
  2. Prepare turkey for roasting, as desired. Rub half the herb mixture under skin of turkey.
  3. Cook turkey according to your favorite method, basting with remainder of the herb mixture every half hour until done.
