Champagne Punch
Sometimes the occasion is so special that only
drinking champagne will do.
Ingredients:
- 4 cups boiling water
- 5 single-serving tea bags
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 cups fresh lemon juice
- 2 cups fresh lime juice
- 1 quart club soda, chilled
- 3 25.4-ounce (750 ml) bottles champagne, chilled
Preparation:
- Pour the boiling water onto the tea bags in a large heatproof container. Cover and let stand 5 minutes. Remove tea bags. Add the sugar, lemon and lime juice, stirring until the sugar dissolves. Chill.
- Just before serving, stir in the club soda and champagne.
- Makes about 5-1/2 quarts.
