Coffee-Chocolate Frosting
Ingredients:
- 6 tablespoons butter
- 1 pound plus 1/4 cup confectioners' sugar (3-3/4 cups)
- 3 tablespoons strong, hot coffee
- 3 tablespoons cocoa
- 3 tablespoons Kahlúa or other coffee liqueur
Preparation:
- At medium speed of an electric mixer, cream together the butter and sugar with 2 tablespoons of the coffee.
- With the mixer running, gradually add the cocoa, remaining coffee and all the liqueur.
- Beat until smooth.
- Fill and frost cake immediately.
Note: This frosting is a natural for Coffee Devil's Food Cake.
