Brown Sugar Pie

This is an old-fashioned pie favorite that's as good as it is simple.
  • 3 cups dark brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 5 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 3 eggs, well beaten
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1-1/2 cups whole milk
  • 1 unbaked 9-inch pie shell
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the brown sugar, flour, salt, eggs, vanilla and milk.
  3. Pour into the unbaked pie shell, and bake for 30 minutes. Test for doneness when a knife inserted into pie center comes out clean.
