Esquire Cocktail

I dreamed this drink up one hot Summer afternoon at Alexandre's Bar in Dallas' Oak Lawn neighborhood.

Ingredients:
  • 2 ounces Deep Eddy Peach Vodka or other peach-flavored vodka
  • 1 ounce Lillet
  • dash of orange bitters
  • Maraschino cherry for garnish
  • Topo Chico or regular club soda
Preparation:
  1. Stir the peach vodka, Lillet and orange bitters together in a highball glass.
  2. Top with Topo Chico or other club soda. Garnish with a Maraschino cherry and enjoy.

Note: This drink is named after a long-standing, long-gone movie theater in Dallas' Oak Lawn neighborhood, the Esquire, because sentimentality makes good drinks taste even better.
