Why does a girl have to be so silly to catch a husband?

Frankly, Scarlet, We Give a Damn

The publicity and fanfare Homer Laughlin generated for it's new bright red glaze in 2004 was entirely worth it.

The "radioactive red" was the best selling color of the vintage Fiesta line. So it was an easy decision for the company to add it into the Post86 line. However it took years of development and coordination to create the brilliant red glaze that would properly combine with the Fiesta manufacturing process. In short, everything had to be perfect.

It was worth the wait. Since scarlet's introduction, it has consistently been not only HLC's leading color but a much needed, and deserved, sales bonanza for the company. In 2013, Dave Conley reported at the annual HLCCA Conference that scarlet was not on the number one selling color in the Fiesta dinnerware line, but it outsold all the others three to one.

Finding Scarlet Fiesta should pose no problem for today's Fiesta fan. Beyond the regular pieces, there are a growing number of special collectible pieces as well.
