Christmas songs have been written about this traditional holiday punch, and more than one culture embraces it. And with good reason.
  • 2 quarts apple juice
  • 2-1/4 cups pineapple juice
  • 2 cups orange juice
  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 3-inch stick cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon whole cloves
Combine all ingredients in a large saucepan or Dutch oven and bring to a boil. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer 30 minutes. Uncover and simmer an additional 30 minutes.

Strain and discard the spices. Serve hot.

Makes about 11 cups.
