Hot Scotch Toddy
Writer William Faulkner had his own favorite hot toddy recipe. Time honored, hot scotch drinks have been used for generations to provide cold relief. Drinking this with a sore throat is guaranteed to provide instant relief. Studding the cloves in the lemon slice provides both an aromatic and visual touch.
- Put the sugar, bitters, lemon juice, and clove-studded lemon slice in the glass.
- Add the Scotch and pour in the boiling water. Stir to dissolve the sugar and sprinkle with ground nutmeg.
- Now, that's medicine! Fills one glass.
