Chocolate Buttercream Frosting

  • 6 tablespoons butter
  • 1 pound confectioners' sugar (3-3/4 cups), sifted
  • 3 tablespoons cocoa
  • 3 tablespoons Kahlúa or other coffee liqueur
  • 2-3 tablespoons strong, hot coffee
  1. Cream together the butter and sugar.
  2. Beat in the cocoa, coffee and liqueur. Beat until smooth.

Note: This frosting is a natural for Coffee Devil's Food Cake.
