Michele's Triple C Cookies

  • 1 cup shortening
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup dark brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1-1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
Preheat oven to 350°F.

Cream butter and sugars until well-blended. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well. Stir in vanilla.

Sift together the flour, soda and salt, and add to butter mixture. Combine well. Add chocolate chips and pecans.

Drop by teaspoonfuls onto a well-greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350°F for 12 minutes.
Makes about 48 large cookies.
