Bloody Marys by the Pitcher

For brunch or as needed.
  • 40 ounces (5 cups) chilled tomato juice
  • 20 ounces (2-1/2 cups) chilled vodka
  • 4 ounces (1/2 cup) fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon celery seed
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Tabasco sauce
  • lime wedges
  • celery sticks
Combine all ingredients except lime wedges and celery sticks in a large pitcher. Stir. Serve over ice, and garnish individual glasses with lime wedges and celery sticks. Makes 2 quarts.


Note: Using the above proportions, one Bloody Mary would consist of 2-1/2 ounces vodka, 5 ounces tomato juice, 1/2 ounce (1 tablespoon) lemon juice, 1/8 teaspoon each black pepper, salt and celery seed, 3 dashes Worcestershire and 1 dash Tabasco.
