Apple Crumble Pie
Peel and slice the apples into quarter-inch slices until you have 5 cups of apple slices. Put apple slices into the unbaked pie shell. Mix together the 1/2 cup sugar and cinnamon, and sprinkle evenly over the apple slices. Prepare the crumble top by mixing the remaining 1/3 cup sugar with the flour. Cut in the butter with a pastry blender or fork until ingredients are incorporated. Sprinkle crumble mixture on top of pie. Bake at 400°F for 35 to 40 minutes until crumble top is golden brown. Note: If your crumble mixture isn't crumbly enough to suit you, add a teaspoon or two more flour to firm it up. end recipe
