Cream Cheese Frosting
- 3/4 cup butter, softened
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1-pound box (3-3/4 cups) confectioners' sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3/4 cup finely chopped pecans (optional)
Blend the softened cream cheese and butter with an electric mixer. Beat in the
sugar, a little at a time. Add the vanilla and pecans, if desired, and
mix well.
Note: Use with Carrot Cake, Grandma's Spice Cake and
many other cake recipes.
